Default Looking for your kind help ... please

Dear members,

I have Kia Sephia 1995 1.6 LS GTX, manual gear.

Recently I noticed that when I start engine, and after about 5 min. or when I stop at the traffic light, the rpm gauge goes to 0.9 and never set there as usual, instead it keeps moving up and down, and this properly reflex the engine itself, when the rpm goes down, it is like the engine want to turned off and then it goes above 1 then down then up!!!

Another thing happened, that sometimes when I’m in the road at about 80km/h the gasoline paddle died, it gives no more power to the engine, I slow down by shifting to lower gear and it works then it happens again then I shift to lower gear and it works….it keeps happening until I stop at the right side of the road and left up the handbrake, I noticed that the rpm is very disturbed and the engine itself!!! I turned off the switch and I on it again, and the car starts working properly as nothing happened!!!

I ‘m wondering if the two pbs are related to each other, and something could cause both symptoms!!!

Please note that no check engine is light up, and I checked it with computer and no code is present !!!

Please note that, I changed the sparks, the oil and oil filter, the gasoline filter, the air filter, and I used special liquid for cleaning the injection. But still I have the pb!!!

Your kind assistance will be highly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Check all your vacuum connections on the engine and make sure all your fuses are good. There's one by the driver side kick panel and there should be one on the left side of the engine bay. Also check all your wirings...make sure everything is connected properly. Good luck!

If that has the stock cat on it, and it is clogged, that could be a possibility.
