I know what you mean, but hey at least it does not have a car payment. i used to have one of those that had a car payment and i was putting money into it every month. i sold that after the third month i put money into it. i fixed it then put a 4 sale sign on it.

I fixed my high idle. i feel really stupid. when i cleaned my throttle body, there was a dark grayish gunk around the TB plate so i cleaned it off (was a pain in the butt) and there was air getting by. so i adjusted the tb plate and now it idles steady at 700 rpms.

i also took off the GSR valve and cleaned it up (there was alot of gunk in there) it was bad enough that it would not hold a vacume, it will now.

today on my way home it started doing the stall feeling when i take my foot off the gas again. i think there is a vacume leak some where i just dont know where, i will drive it to work tomorrow and see what itdoes now that i cleaned it all up again an adjusted the TB.

will give status tomorrow morning.

What is the GSR valve?? That is true I was driving due to work alot of miles so I decided to sell my car and now I am saving around 500 a month b/c of this car so I am happy. I only paid 830 for this one and I think that I have invested maybe 800 so it is resonable. Well going to work on the car and change those wires.

I think its meant to be EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve.
Feeds exhaust gas into the inlet manifold under certain engine load conditions.

well i reset my computer before leaving the office and the problem went away and so far this morning it is still doing fine.

i still need a set of tires now. and man what happened to cheap tires!!! it is going to cost about 260 for the CHEAP tires mounted, balanced and tire waranty at discount tire and that is the cheapest that i have found. other than ordering the tires online and getting them mounted somewhere, but then i dont have the free replacement waranty

the last set of tires i bought for a car i got 4 tires for 100 dollars plus mount balance and waranty was only an extra 50 bucks.

Why on earth are you bargain hunting on what is considered the most important safety feature on a car?

Most people who understand this will tell skimp on everything else other than the tires. I spend top dollar on wheels/tires because thats the only thing keeping my cars on the pavement.

It all depends on the driving needs. I had a full size van that I always bought junkyard tires for, but the driving needs were very limited. I drove it 8 miles on monday night and 8 miles on wensday night, never got over 30 mph. It was our fleamobile for flea markets.
