My Back Doors

The back doors of my 94 Sephia don't open. They aren't locked or anything, but they just don't want to open. I've tried from the inside and the outside. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem.

I have the same problem with my 96 on one of the rear doors. I had to get into the door, spray it with more WD-40 than you can imagine, then it worked... but it's only a temporary fix.... and I'd really like to know if anyone has a better solution.

This will be one of two problems...1st. The small plastic that is inside the door handle probably broke off. To repair this you have to get into the door panels and replace the broken plastic item..just insert the new one or get one from a auto yard and replace it. When you pull off the handle, you will clearly see it.
2nd. Remove the whole lachet that opens and closes the door and completely clean it with a spray solvent that will remove the dirt and grease. You might want to soak it for a couple hours or so. After that use white grease for lubrication and reverse the installation. Kias are well known for their doors to not open...I've done this quite a few times! Good luck and that should cure it
