Default Well-known problems

I wonder if there are some "well-known" problems with those cars? I have a Kia Sephia 95' GTX and would like to here if there are some problems that I should be aware of? I haven't got some problems yet, but I'll sure it will come..

I would not consider the Sephia to be a problem car, and should give years of good service if well maintained.

Make sure that the timing belt, tensioner and guide are changed at 60,000 mile intervals to avoid catastrophic damage.

The only one that I can think of are the front struts, they are well known to go out..if it does go with a KBY unit. The auxuillery fan switch tend to do the same also...sometimes.
good luck.....send some pixs of your ride..we love to see it!

I can't think of any common problems... My 96 sephia has been a bit of a pain in the ass though, I've replaced the distributor, water pump, radiator, & catalytic converter. My Axillary fan motor went out, but wasn't replaced, my windshield wiper motor stripped, but was fixed with with a drill bit and a screw. I have problems with my spark plug cables as well, and my tires.

I wouldn't label the car as "bad"... It's 12 years old now, so I can't expect it to be perfect. The only thing I love about my car is that I'm the second owner, and that it's pretty good on gas... (Last I checked, I was getting 28mpg, but I have the 1.6L)

I own two Kia's. I've worked on them pretty much all over. I've replaced trannys, engines, shocks, fan switches, ball joints, carpets, bumpers, brake calipers, heater cores, dash, headlights, rear panels, motor mounts, front struts, the list goes on and on. Mine are 1.8 liter, one auto and the other manual shift. I still love messing around with them. I love going to the wrecking yards finding something interesting again. Until next time...later.

Lucky you who have wrecking yards with Kia parts in. Here where I live we have a wrecking yard, but I'm the only one who have a Kia Sephia, so they don't have parts for my car.. I have to buy everything in a car store, and that's expensive for me

You can always move to the U.S., we have tons of wrecking yards! Parts are very cheap here, especially if they are used. That's what I've been running my Kias with all these years. Or you can go onto the internet and find some more goodies for your ride. Good luck!
