Alldatadiy.com for the 97 Kia Sephia GS says before I remove the blower motor I need to discharge4 the a/c system. I have never had a car or truck where servicing the blower requires discharging the a/c system first. Is this really true on the Sephia? What would happen if I dd not discharge the a/c system beofre removing the blower?

Any insights would be appreciated!

Thanks!

If i'm correct the blower on your car is located under the glove compartment. It has 4 screws that will loose it. Definitly you DONT, DONT have to discharge the A/C systems to do that. Look for a thing like this in the pic attached
Lower Gray Dot will show you the screws position. and Higher will take you to next step if you cant take it out with first step (I does not remember well that) Just try.
