question. I have the recalled car, but I haven't had any problems accept that every rare once in a while the front passenger seatbelt is hard to put in (you have to push the button in then put it in) but nothing worse then that. They stay put. Should I have them replaced anyway, because I don't want to have to go to the dmv and have one of the officers flip out because the seatbelt doesn;t work perfectly (that actually happened to be before).

Rob the 97 sephias we NOT recalled they will not replace... 2000 and above. You dont have a recall on your seatbelts you have a total different car from the 98+ sephias.

and nighthawk yes they will replace the seatbelts free of charge for you. Whats happening to you (seat belt not going in sometimes) is the recall.

really? I thought the recall was the buckle was coming undone when tension is applied to the seatbelt. Thanks for the info.

there was actually 2 causes.
1. the seatbelt wouldnt make a click noise but did latch (sometimes lol)
2. couldnt latch without pushing in button!
