Thank you Zoot and Fravin for your contributions to the fuel consumption competition. Interesting what you said, Zoot, about using the revs properly. Also amazed that the fuel consumption didn't rise significantly with the air con being on almost constantly as you stated. I suppose that it being your summer in the southern hemisphere the cars take less time to warm up.
Fravin, the comment about dodgy/crap/unreliable fuel is an intriguing one. I encountered something similar whilst driving in Poland six years ago. (Very low octane petrol). You didnt say what engine size you have and if it is an automatic.
OK comrades, its Zoot in the lead with 18.14 km per litre so far. Fravin, Zoot and I have all got cars that have done less than 8000 Km. Would like to hear from those with cars a little older. Any one done better?
P.S. my fuel guage doesnt show any movement for the first 60miles/95km then decends rapidly!
