As for me, I have no such bad luck. As I put back what comes out unless there is a verifiable reason in the data and output watts to prove otherwise. As well as a solid history of few failures. Silverstar has not proven that to many. Nor do I put back a diffenrt bulb unless that too has a verifiable reason(you have none) thru data. And in doing so would up the light output for sure not jsut I think they are brighter as they look brighter. Something the bulb tech data will not and can not prove for you or anyone. A 1157 at 403 lumins is not as bright as a 2357 at 504 lumins. Pure and simple science.

The new 2357 was designed form teh start to be lightly brighter and work with the lens and reflector designs to give much more light then the old 1157 did. They would be using the 1157, and never made the 2357 if not still today. Same thing with the 168 and 194 bulbs.
