Suggested Improvements:

- move the lower chrome side guards
- bring back the cargo area side light
- bring back the glove box light
- intermittent wipers for the rear
- rear glass hatch would be nice (liked that feature on the Matrix)
- improve fuel economy by offering a diesel (so far my MPG has ranged from 26 - 34 to the imperial gallon) - always want improve fuel economy no matter what vehicle we drive
- offer sunroof on lower models
- trip computer should be standard
- rear bumper guard should be standard (have it installed on my vehicle)
- offer the options that are available in other parts of the world for the Carens

Problems:

- one heated rear window strand did not work, now repaired. Dealer has been excellent so far. (just turned 3500 km)

absolutely no problem with my vehicle pulling to the right. Can let go of the steering wheel at 80kmph and tracks straight (within reason)

this is like writing a novel (had to do it in shifts), but now you've had my two cents worth.
Thanks for providing detailed opinion. This gives good perspective on how others feel about Rondo.

I agree with you, it is very good car, but even this one can be improved with few minor changes you and I mentioned.

I traded-in my Outlander because I need a six+ seater soon. I am in between this and Mazda5, but when I started evaluating both Rondo and Mazda5, 2008 Mazda5 specs were not finalized. If we see the 2008 Mazda5 somehow mileage figure has gone-up with 2008 Model, I am guessing they tuned engine, and added 5 speed Auto to attain 21/27 MPG for 2008 revised EPA rating.( if it was 2007, it would have been something like 19/24 city/highway). If I saw those specs, I would have been in dilemma(Rondo V6 is 18/25).

BTW, you commented Outlander and Accord are expensive vehicles, nope. I paid $1500 less than this for outlander, and $1000 less than this for Accord, and both are brand new.Of course those did not have 6-airbags or V6 engine.

But never the less I like my Rondo, only fact is I did not get the color I want( Metallic Gray with Beige interior), instead I got Almond Beige/Beige as it was only one with 7 seat with V6 available in nearby dealer. I think Rondo looks sharp in Metallic Gray .

Thanks
