I have already complained about this to my dealer. The shop looked at it and they replied "It's not going to be better, it's like this by design". This might be poor design I would think. Now I haven't had any problems engaging the reverse for some months. You will learn how to do it eventually

I have had a lot of these complaints to my dealer during the 6 months I have had the car, now I have settled with the fact that if you buy a low end car you will get a bit of low end quality. I have driven mostly Audi's, Lexus, Volvo and Saab and other premium cars during my years as a driver and now made the plunge, switching from a premium brand. You get a bit what you paid for. Don't get me wrong, I like the Kia, I'm mostly satisfied but sometimes I get annoyed by the little things but I have paid a quarter of the price that I normally buy a car for so I have realized that I cannot complain. The ceed is really a great little car!!
