Hello!

My family owns an LX Sedan 98. Its been with us for the past 5 years. it is a reliable car, I should say, with its 1100cc engine...you can go far. Only now, though most stock parts have been replaced already, my utmost conern is the idle of the engine. Just recently we discovered that after ignition, the engine just dies after 2 mins. though our mechanic says that a defective fuel pump is the culprit, I just wanna have some other opinions to rest my mind. Recently, we had the fuel line from the fuel filter to the fuel pump (rubber hosing & filter itself) replaced. The car performed perfectly until the new problem arised. It is a main concern for me since I drive our car long distances, manila to laguna and back and I don't wanna encounter that problem along the stretch of the SLEX. Any advice on any other possible causes will be very much appreciated! thank you very much and more power!
