Oil Change
Oil change is only at 10,000 under servere usage conditions as stated below.
a. Repeated short distance driving ( what is a short distance and would you realistically clock up 12500 miles in a year doing short distances and of course how would Kia know)
b. Extensive idling (ditto as above)
c. Driving on dusty rough roads (I live in a town not a desert)
F.More than 50% driving in heavy city traffic during temperatures above 32 degrees ( In England fat chance)
g.Driving in mountainous areas (dont drive up and down Ben Nevis to work)
h. towing a trailer (dont have a trailer)
i. driving for patrol car or taxi ( im not a policeman/Security officer or a taxi driver)
j. Driving in very cold weather (wet yes extreme cold no)
k. constant driving over 106mph ( I dont live in Germany and use the autoban to work)
l. frequently driving in stop and go conditions (if I drove into central london each day a possibility but a. I dont and b. again how would they know.
So for me the only real possible one to watch is frequent stop and go conditions which for me isnt a problem as I dont travel in rush hour traffic very often due to shift work.
For me its in the wording UNDER SEVERE USAGE CONDITIONS of which I am more than happy certainly dont apply to me personally so I will be sticking to the 12500 service intervals.
