Hello!

I'm new here but will soon be a regular (I hope).

My wife and I will be buying the new Carens CRDi 2.0L and just wondering if our decision is correct.

My current vehicle is the Toyota Vios, and I'm also a member of the Vios Club Philippines. The Vios is a really practical and economical car!

First time I came across the Carens was when it was first displayed at the Kia in Silver City, at the back of the SM Hypermart in C5 last Feb. I was really struck by its sheer beauty.

It was only last week when we decided to buy a new vehicle. We only had 2 vehicles in mind, the Sportage and Carens.

First, both are bigger than my Vios. Second, fits the budget. We know that the Sportage is not in the league as the Carens (SUV vs. MPV) there's really no comparison between the two. Our decision weighed more on our use for the new vehicle -- basically a family car that would fit more than 5!

I did compare and research the pros, cons of both, and from what I gathered, the Carens has more cons and features for the price -- simply put, a real value for money.

Size is a big factor since we live in Marikina, wherein some place do get easily flooded during an hour of heavy downpour of rain .

I've friends owning Carnivals and Sedonas, and from their experiences, they're very satisfied with their Kia's.

Can anyone post what they think about the Carens..and the Sportage for that matter.
