KIA MENTOR 97/98 - 1st and 2nd gear problems
The car is fine in all aspects apart from one annoying problem. From starting warm or cold it idles great, no misfiring or other noticeable problems. I then would gently press the gas and release clutch and the damn thing judders like a learner driver would. The only way out of the judder is to engage clutch and creep so to speak. I could also floor the gas pedal and it accellerates as you'd expect without judder. The same damn thing happens in 2nd gear. I cannot creep in slow traffic because of this and find myself clutching or coasting.
I feel it maybe the TPS throttle position sensor, anyone know how I test it as i do have a voltmeter and ohms tester but no schematics or repair manual for the car.
Could anything else cause the above without any other problems being existant?
Any idea's or better still, answers would be greatly appreciated.
Bad weather outside so haven't checked things like fuel filter not that i know where it is on this model yet though. Checked fuses all OK but noticed it happens in 3rd gear too, only noticeable with low revs.
