I agree with you. If I was using the Sorento as a truck I would be servicing the tranny in a more aggressive manner. I would install a large tranny cooler with a remote fluid filter. I don't pull anything with it. I use it as a family car. The kids were getting to big for the saturn we owned and the price was right.$17,000. Couldn't pass it up.

I figure if KIA doesn't require me to replace the fluid for 100k under normal service then draining it every 30,000 is certainly not going to hurt it. I may still stick an after market filter on. I just have to figure out which tube is the suction and which is the discharge on the tranny.
