Thanks for your feedback

Kia have now come back with an offer of 'Good Will' -- only took 10days.....not too bad I guess. They have offered to pay 50% of the costs leaving us with a $4K-$5K bill and a new engine that wont have a warranty and could go the same way..... Doesn't seem quite right given the age and service history of our vehicle. Not sure what can be done about it though. If I fight them for more $$$ they may just say that their 'Good Will' is no longer offered and I will be without a vehicle for another 10days or possibly more.

I have tried phoning the Kia customer care number and sending them emails, and get no assistance from the Kia Employee who states "that a limited number of vehicles have been affected and that the Customer Service People cannot talk to the Warranty People within Kia to sort anything out"....How's that for customer service/assistance?!
