OF COURSE IT IS NOT A DEFECT. The belt design and sensor design are from the largest Japanese seat belt company that supplies to most of the Asian brands and many European brands. It was the Japanese engineers who backed up the design as being not defective with our engineers. Considering how the various safety organizations (including governmental) jump on issues like these and HAVE NOT found problems with the belt systems being used in millions of vehicles globally. Have your dealer once again go over your issues and be sure to duplicate what you are saying is wrong. Check other models to see how their systems work. If there is a design change needed, then please recommend it. Thanks.
