I found somewhere else on this site to jump pins 5 and 6 on the diagnostics plug, turn the key on, and then proceed to set the fob. I metered between 5 and 6 first and found 11.2 volts with the key on. I did not short them because that would be a dead short. That was dirty info that someone posted
